My childhood experiences of women’s circles, consisted of my mother, my grandmothers, aunts, several neighbours – women who lived alone, and my experience of decorative willow patterned tea sets, or English bone floral tea cups, flowers and plants, colour, the beauty of tapestry and design, cakes and conversations, which all contributed to a philosophy that emerged from these influences – an appreciation of creativity and beauty and the importance of a safe place to laugh and cry and the sharing of mutual support as women. I continue to love being part of the care and support offered in women’s groups and facilitating women’s circles that include personal development courses and other educational group brings me great joy and delight.” – Christine Moran
